Project 2 (Web Book)

In this project, in group of 4, we need to conduct a research and architectural analysis on a selected building. The group may also choose their own modern buildings around Kuala Lumpur. For my group, we choose AS-SYAKIRIN MOSQUE (KLCC MOSQUE) we had done lots of research about it. Individually, we have to select one topic which are site context, architectural layout of building, architecture style, building construction, structure & materials and architectural elements or components and do analysis on the topic chosen. For me, my topic is architecture elements or components analysis. 

Reflection

From this project, I get to know the principle, ideas and contributing factors of Modern Architecture in Kuala Lumpur and able to analyse and identify specific architectural features of Modern Architecture inKuala Lumpur. Besides, I am able to compile my information in the form of writings, diagrams, sketches and drawings.

Project 1 (Research Timeline Analysis)

In a group of 4, we are required to produce an A3 sized illustrative chronology poster of Modern Malaysian Architecture which interprets the Modern Malaysian Architectural language and architecture influences to the architectural development of Malaysia in particular. For our group, we need to do research on Modern Malaysia Architectural Chronology of South East Kuala Lumpur and produce an A3 timeline analysis poster.

Reflection

From this project, I learn to analyzed ,discuss and communication between group-mates the relationship of the Modern Architecture of Malaysia with social, cultural, environmental and intellectual context of Malaysian architecture post Merdeka. I also get to
differentiate the way in which many varied factors contribute to the development of Modern Malaysian Architecture. Besides, I learn to produce, illustratively, orally and in text, a critical chronology analysis interpretation of Modern Malaysian architecture.
