Project2a (Introduction to Site Analysis + Observation Deck @ Cape Rachado)
In groups, we need to conduct site analysis of the site plan, existing structure, landscape, climatic studies, circulation pattern, views and vistas, activities and SWOT of Cape Rachado, Port Dickson and case studies of Grand Canyon Skywalk, Arizona and Pinohuacho observation deck, Chile. Individually, we need to produce 5 sketches of the site. In group of 2, we are to design an Observation Deck (with a maximum volume of 30 meter cube) for the purpose of observing the views. We need to produce site analysis, series of 2D diagrams, detail drawings and models.

From this project, my team mate, Toh Kean Hou and I decided to design an observation deck which can integrate user's visual and sensory with the nature. We had lots of brainstorming sessions and generated ideas by doing many progress models. Upon completing this project, I am able to generate structure, form and space through architectural conceptualisation, with the emphasis on exploring the user requirement and simple spatial organizations skills, as well as site responding to develop an architectural proposition.
